Good string for 70:s rock plektrum style?

Sign in to disble this ad
I have been playing a 1962 Hagström II for a long time, but I recently bought an old Guild. The Guild has WAAAAY much more low-end and sustain, but has a bit of a not so personal sound when it comes to the initial picking sound. Basically the note starts when you pick the string and sustains until you release it, whitout the inital growl, fuzz, mid/treble rumble that I'm used to whit the Hagström. I like the Guild, but I want it to be more personal, whit a more defined attack.
Does anyone know a good string that can do this?
I'm not a slaper, but I play hard whit fingers and plektrum, and I want my hitting style to come through.
