I am looking for some roundwound strings that warm up the tone and make it more bassy and soft.
I don't want flatwounds, because I have 2 songs where I use slap in my set, and I also slap a lot anyway (I'm in a funk band).
What are some roundwounds that still sound good for slap, but at the same time can mellow out the overall tone/clank?
By the way, I use a Musicman Stingray.
I've heard good things about the Fender 7150's by searching the forums. But I thought I could get a more precise answer by telling you guys my exact situation: still need a glood slap tone, using a musicman stingray, etc.

Either that or don't change regular nickel strings for a long time. |

I'm looking for a midrangey/bassy sound.
The reason I want roundwounds is I still need to be able to slap with the turn of the treble knob of my bass.

Nickel Lowriders are what you want. |

They call them Nickel Lo Riders or Stainless Steel Lo Riders.
Oh boy! That's confusing.

I only prefer them over Sunbeams, because they are on a hex core and thus their B and E strings are tighter and more focused. Less overtones.
