Cool Got Free RotoSound 66s at the SIMMM

Sign in to disble this ad
The SIMMM is like the NAMM of Montreal. It's only the second year of it, but it's twice as large as last year. I checked out the RotoSound/Ashdown booth and the man started to talk to me about RotoSounds. I told him I had never tried them but I was very interested. He was like "Here, take them".

Pretty cool. I just got some 30$ strings for free. I need new strings on my fretted Jazz, because my DR FatBeams have lost their brightness. I still haven't tried the strings on since I've had no time. This might just be the sound I'm looking for.

Anyone else check out the SIMMM?

I still use Rotosounds about 28 years after buying my first pack. I've tried other brands, sometimes for a year or so, but have always evntually come back to the good old Swing Bass rounds. Never had a bad one, or broken one, honestly!

My guess is you'll enjoy that free set when you get them on your bass. "Zing went the strings of my heart."

I like 'em just fine but I like certain strings better.

I really dig their Billy Sheehan set though.

Nice score.

What does SIMMM stand for? -- Something in Montreal: Music Merchants?
