 Growling Sliding Fingerfunk Strings for a Yamaha TRB1005 ?

Whose strings should I put on my new Yamaha TRB1005 Fiver? Just want to see if anyone out there has already gone through the search for the elusive masterclass strings for this model. I am a versatile bassist but mostly fingerstyle, a few slaps, and ALOT OF SLIDING. Im from the Tony Levin Camp. I need something that'll keep that fatass low-end sounding plump in a skintight girdle. I've always used Rotosounds swingbass and DR. They sounded pretty good on my other basses. I feel like there's a world of strings out there I have barely even touched upon. Any opinions from the YamahaMob? |
