Alright, here is what I want, I want a growly throaty tone. Could you guys please reccomend me some strings?

hmm, i dont think youll get the tone ur looking for just from strings alone

Well I have it at a place where I want, I meant something that will help me in that tone, I know it depends on much more, I just want a string set that will help it a little bit...ya know?

Of course many things go into it. But I used Steel strings forever and have recently switched to nickles. I noticed a much "growlier" tone when digging in.

IMHO.

Boost the mids on your amp, dig in deep with your fingers and use stainless steel roundwounds. Anything else might require altering your instrument or spending a lot of money on a new amp or signal processor.
