When playing slap bass, do you have a preferrance for a specific guage of string?

regular lights, less tension = more metallic sound of the string hitting against the frets(which I like)

I like the lighter strings for slapping, but I also like them for rock tone and even for jazz....I like lights all around lol

The lighter, the better in my opinion. If I'd have a dedicated slap-bass, it'd be strung with something like 35-50-65-90-120.
