I got a 67 Starfire I (thread in basses section)-any string suggestions??
I usually use Labella flats (light gauge on hollowbodys heavy on fenders)--my Labella meduim scale set had an E string that went over the nut and is old with a pretty dead E string. The are some evenness (sp?) issues with the e-string on the bass and I starting to think it's the string, not the bass....

Maybe TI flats?? I used them once on a fender, they sounded great, but too light tension for me--used to heavier strings. I guess they have a medium scale set 43-106...that should work---who do you think??
