Guy Pratt Tone

I know Guy Pratt uses an old 60's fender and flats, apart from being really freaking good what kind of strings would be good for his groovy/growly finger style tone on MM Stingray classic, it's a bright bass and maple fingerboard. D'addario chromes or ernie ball flats? thanks!

go to "press kit" and download the high-res promo images. One of them shows him with his fender bass and the headstock shows brightess lime green silk winding at the headstock.

Guy doesn't usually use flatwounds. Maybe he keeps a bass or two with flats, but most stuff I hear, especially that '61 stack knobs Jazz has rounds.

Trace Elliot strings is what he played and endorsed that had those green silks. I don't know if that still is the case or not.

I believe he uses Elites Stadium rounds on most of his basses.

Not sure about his fretless though. This clip is from 2006 with his Lakland fretless and am I right in thinking it sounds like flats?
