H1 Brightness Issue Resolved

Sign in to disble this ad
I recently took possession of an '08 Highway 1 jazz. I don't know if anybody else has one that plays very bright.

Mine was so bright I hardly ever used the bridge pup. It came with Fender round mediums on it.

I switched to Rotosound Jazz Bass 77 heavy gauge flats and solved everything. Couldn't be happier with the tone - WOW!
I can dial in both pups + the grease bucket for plenty of thump and punch and a sweet thick roundness.

If yours is too bright, try the heavy flats.
