Halfrounds question

This question just randomly came to mind, do halfrounds sound like flats as they get older (better), or do they have their peak right after you break them in and then die in a month or two like rounds.

I didn't keep mine on long enough to know how they age, but I know they did "settle in" to a nice deep thump very quickly. They seemed pretty consistent after that for about 2 months. Back to flats for me.
