Halfwound suggestions?

Sign in to disble this ad
I recently got a fretless a couple of months ago. The roundwound strings that came with it were pretty ok, but lately I've been getting sick of them. They sound dead and have way too much bass in them, although this could be from age.

I would just switch to roundwounds, but I'm aware of what that can to do a fretless neck. So I was thinking about getting some half wounds. Any suggestions?

I want a primarily punchy tone from them that can achieve clear notes (especially highs). Thanks a lot for any help given.
