Exclamation Harp sounding electric fretted bass strings

Sign in to disble this ad
Which one of these 4 types of bass strings would be the closest to sounding like harp?

(Remember I have a fretted bass not a frettless)

These are my choices (as they are all thats available which is close to me). I greatly appreciate your feedback:

Fender 7120 Nylon Filament Wound Bass Strings:

Rotosound RS885LD Trubass Black Nylon Strings:

Rotosound TBL135 Trubass Black Nylon Flatwound Single String:

If all else fails I'll probably end up buying the D'Addario EXL280 XL Piccolo Bass Regular/Long String Set (since I actually have heard and enjoyed the sounds of these strings before):

Well I'm not a real knowledgeable about strings but I did play the harp for awhile and I'd say the second set. But is you like the D'Addarios just get them.

Thanks for your response pedulla

The bad side of buying strings is when you have no idea what the strings sound like, if you can't listen to them on the net, you can't try them out at the store, and there's no refunds for strings.

Yet still to be able to capture in a somewhat similar way the sound of the harp on the bass is something I've always wanted to do.
