Hartke strings making my fingertips turn grey!

Just put these hartke strings on my new Carvin. I got these strings for $10 new. On both my fret hand and my plucking hand; it looks like pencil dust. (graphite). Anyone else have this happen?

made in china. one of the worst strings I ever tried. never again.

I've tried them because I found them REALLY cheap at a local store.

Feels like barbed wire.
