The end is so thin and I am really afraid that I will break it when I play. I use it with an ABM bridge and the saddle is kind of sharp. However, the tone is excellent.

I can say that I have. Well...sort of. My gf's cat knocked the bass off its stand and it fell face down. One of the frets made a rather large dent in the string. So now on the B string at the 8th fret I get crazy buzz. Nowhere else though. So I guess that's a little different from what you meant.

I have, once... on my Spector. If it is any help to put your mind at ease... I bought 2 more sets and one has been on for over a year and a half... minimal play maybe, but I have faith in them
