Has Anyone Tried Ernie Ball Custom Gauge Strings?

I've used these almost exclusively, and I just want to know if there are better strings out there for what I play (Rock, Hard Rock, Funk, Latin, and Fusion).

I very recently tried some "Custom Gauge" 40-95 Slinkies. Probably the most disappointing roundwound I've tried. Seemed to die in a day.
