Has this ever happened to anyone?

3 months ago I put some DR Sun Beams of my main bass. I was so impressed that I bought some and put them on my backup bass. Here is the deal. Both were different string gauges. I like the lighter ones but can remember which ones they were. Were they the really light ones or the medium light...
Not to big of a deal but I have been using my backup bass alot more than my main bass and need to change the strings now.
Just wondering...Have you ever bought strings and forgot what sizes they were?

Why don't you compare them & check which is larger/smaller?

Do you mean at the store? That could work. One thing is that I am not sure that they always carry them. Plus they are kinda stuck up I don't know if they are going to let me open up a box of strings there.

Make several measurements. The coarseness of the wrap will allow for different measurements. But you should be able to get a pretty good idea.
