I'm lovin my Labella HRS 110-50 set tuned to standard right now, their tone is fantastic. My favorite tension is with the Circle K 118-49 set though, they just don't have the right midrange sound for me. The highest tension I've used were heavy Fender flats, I'm pretty sure the G string's tension was close to 50lbs, they were a little uncomfortable to play.

My current set is:

.106, .079, .059, .043

Which is about 43 pounds of tension on each string.

Which has a fairly heavy E but is pretty light on top. I've considered getting a set more like this:

.112, .082, .061, .045

Which would be about 46-47 pounds on each string.

Time will tell.

I have one bass set up for Drop C and I use EB Power Slinky 50-110 on it. Love the tension and the tone.

You should hear a .130 at C.
