Who plays heavys? Specifically on a 5 string? Curious to see what gauges you use. |

Sorry, just having fun! Truth is I use wuss strings. 40-95 + 120 on my 5. But I definitely see the appeal of heavy strings. I just don't want to use them.

I'll probably order singles in future (Rotosounds) 50-65-85-110-130 for a better balance.
I'm reluctant to exceed 130 (135 would be more suitable) for the low A because I'd need to sand nut slot to make it wider, and I don't to make such an alteration.

It would still give you tighter trebles than bass on tension.
