Heavy red strings

Hey all,

I've searched the threads and the web high and low and I can't find an answer to this question - so I thought I'd just ask!

I own a custom made 5 string bass on which normal uncoloured strings just look dumb - its a natural finish (mirtle/maple) with red hardware and Q-tuner pickups.

Anyway, I've been using DR red devils on it but they only come in a medium gauge - I have a strong preference towards heavy strings. The Black Beauties come in a heavier gauge but an email to DR confirmed that they don't do the heavier gauge in the red devils.

So my question - does anyone know of any companies doing red strings in heavy gauges? I'm looking for something in the vicinity of 50-70-90-110-130, give or take.

AFAIK, DR is the only company that does red strings, period. Perhaps you could persuade them to make heavy sets and become an endorsing artist for them?
