Help Identifying D'addario Strings

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey guys,

I was wondering if you guys could help me identify this D'addario strings ive been craving for, i dont know what they are called but their ball-end color matchs the winding on top. Im looking for them in 45-105 but i think ill be ok with 45-100.

Yeah my buddy has them and i really like thier sound compared to my EB's and he said they come in a 2 pack.

I dont have a store around me that sells D'addario's... only EB and Rotosound so im going to have to order them online or ill have to drive to the GC.

Thanks

I wish they still made Slowounds, they were my all time favorite bass string. I remember that the silk top matched the ball end but as far as I know they stopped making them 4 or 5 years ago. And I am not aware of any D'Addario bass string that is currently being manufactured that has a silk top. I use EXL 170's or 165's exclusively and they have no silk top. Can't be positve about anything else they make. If your buddy has indeed found some Slowounds, they're NOS and tell him for me that I hope he enjoys them while he has them. )-(

Yeah one of the mom and pop stores i go to all the time had some, didnt get them though as i didnt know what they were and i only used DR's
The only other Daddario string that has a silk wrap is Chromes and they are a Navy Blue color.

D'addario ProSteels or Nickels (depending on how much "piano chime" you like): cheap, easy to find, and if you don't have super-acidic sweat lasts a decent amount of time.
