Help me choose strings gauge!

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi guys!
I'm going to buy rotosound swingbass strings one by one and I have chosen my G string in a 25 gauge (yeah, very very light).
How can I choose the other ones in order to make the set even and tension-balanced (using E-A-D-G)?
In rotosound's website they don't have any tension chart so I'm lost. Perhaps 25-45-65-85 seems normal but...I don't know really.
Thanks a lot!

I'd hate to say it, but when I order singles, I go by "feel" and "intuition". It comes with experience. But for what it's worth, the amount of tension by lbs doesn't always translate to "feel". Unfortunately, you'll have to experiment and hope for the best.
