Help me my players of the low end brethren!

I currently play EB regular slinkys (have my entire journey through bass). However I am looking for some stainless steel or nickel strings that are as bright or brighter than EB and super long scale (long enough to fit a 35" scale six string string thru). I play in a technical death metal/melodic death metal band and want just enough brightness to be heard. I've heard sunbeams mentioned before and almost bought them, however, I figured I'd ask you guys first as I play a six string and strings aren't cheap when you're in college, let alone a musician, let alone a music student in college (yeah, double F'd ). Thanks!

P.S. I play with my fingers if that helps my case

Sunbeams are excellent and I played them for many years. However, I would recommend Fat Beams. I recently tried Fat Beams for the first time and like them even more than Sunbeams.

IMO, Fat Beams are significantly brighter than Sunbeams and have the deepest lows of any roundwound string I've played. Sunbeams have more pronounced midrange than Fat Beams.

Both sets have incredible feel and are very easy to play due to their flexibility. If you wanted a stiffer string, the stainless Low Riders would be a good choice. DR's should definitely fit your bass as they are plently long for my 35" scale basses (I usually cut off 3-4 inches of string). Hope this helps.

Circle K Balanced 136/142 are great strings. Yes, a bit on the expensive side, but they last for a long time and they're super comfortable and versatile. Also, if I were you, I'd invest in some denatured alcohol and soak your strings in it to clean them. 24 hours will bring them back to life better than boiling.

Sunbeams or Neons (the coated version of sunbeams) would be my pick.

I've thought of trying those, however, they can't be used string thru (which honestly isn't an issue) and they're quite expensive like you said. 136? Jesus christ thats huge lol. I've scoped out a few balanced sets on their site. I might give them a shot when we track our demo in october.
