Help (MM and Flats content)

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey guys,
I just had a short question, and decided to opt for some help here though I rarely post in the strings section!
In any case, on a whim I decided to try something new and put a set of medium long scale chromes on my MM sterling.
It's a feel I'm geting used to, not playing flats for about 6yrs, but the sound (although much different from what I was used to) is just AWESOME!
I just wanted to see what time will do to these strings sound wise? They have minimal top end, and I wanted to see how much remains? (i was a fanatical Hi-Beams user up to yesterday so please humor me)!

Wow! Chromes are some of the brightest flats available,I know I love em too.

They aren't going to do anything other than mellow out over time so if you like the sound now, expect that sound to change over time. Less highs and more thud.

well, I'll hope for the best in any case, even if they do mellow out, they have a lovely color to them, I may even begin to appreciate that!
thanks a lot for the input!

chromes take a while to lose the brightness so I wouldn't worry to much, I doubt the sound will change very much at all for a good while yet
