help! my strings are... stuck?

Sign in to disble this ad
so this is weird and i don't think i've ever had something like this happen but i know its happened to a few poeple before so check this out

my washburn taurus t-25 had some really godamn old strings, so i bought a new set today and desided to switch over and i clip one of the strings and try to push it out... but its stuck, it won't push out through the holes where the ball ends to the strings are anchored in, its like the balls at the end of the strings are stuck in the anchoring area and i can't push it out no matter how hard i try

anyone got any tips as to how to do this without potentially needing to replacea very essential part to the instrument?

Use a pair of pliers on the string to push it through. I dealt with this exact problem yesterday changing a B string on a Peavey. After I got the ball out far enough, I then grabbed the ball end with the pliers and pulled it the rest of the way out. Lubrication will help too.
