I bought a Squier Silver Series Jazz Bass that came with some black flatwounds with turquoise ends. Any ideas which brand they are?

They could be tapewound strings. I'm not sure about the turquoise ends though but tapewound strings would be the best guess I have.

Definitely tapewound strings. Not sure about brand.

If they are bumpy, they are Fenders. If not bumpy, that leaves Roto, GHS, La Bella, as they likely candidates.

They arent Roto, Rotosound tapewounds have yellow silk. Hope this helps you narrow it down!

These are my only reference for tapewounds so I can't tell how relatively bumpy they are. I did, however, find this close up pic from when I cleaned the frets (and before I oiled the rosewood) that might be enough to tell.

I bought some more flats and it seems most likely they're Fender. I've now changed to La Bella (Jameson set) and here's a comparison shot.

Thanks for the help.
