Hi/Lo Output Strings

Do different strings have higher/lower outputs?

I recently put on a some DR highbeams onto my Gibson ripper and it seems like there is less output, could these be cause by the type of strings that i am using? or even dead strings?

Stainless steel is less magnetic than nickel-plated steel or nickel, and will have slightly lower output than those metals. If it's really a concern, try Sunbeams.
