| High Beams on a Warwick . . .TWANG!!

Put DR High Beams on my Warwick Standard Corvette Ash, and it's TWANG city. Still have the punchy Warwick mids, but it's just so twangy now, I have to EQ out a lot of high. My experience with High Beams is that they're a little twangy for a while anway, but then they mellow out. Guess I'll wait and see. If nothing changes, guess I'll have to put Warwick Black Labels back on.
Additionally, getting lots of fret sizzle now in the middle of my neck. My brief experience with Warwicks, at least the one I have, seems to be that they're very picky about what strings you put on them.
Anyways . . . anyone have similar experiences with this setup? |
