High C on a 5 String, ok?

Hi,

If it has been answered, post an eye roll and a link to the relevant thread.

I was thinking of stringing my 5 string without the low B and instead a high C.

Any problems/issues with this aside from the nut? Anyone else out there doing this?

I think a search on "EADGC" will turn up at least a couple of threads.

I don't think a nut change will be necessary in most cases. You may need to adjust the truss rod a bit, due to difference in tension.

thanks! Actually I couldn't figure out a search query because you can't search single letters! I tried various combos of "high c 5 string..." etc...
