highest tension strings

What are the highest tension strings regular and when detuned? Is a heavier string tighter when detuned or is a lighter gauge string?

Lo riders from DR with the hex core are damn tight. I'm not sure if light or heavy gauge makes it stiffer/softer.

Heavier are tighter, hex cores are too, I haven't found anything tighter than Rotosound Steve Harris signature strings yet.

+1 to Rotosound flats.
Perfect for detune.I tune in C and these strings are as tight as most common strings tuned in E.

I suppose the highest tension would be a set of BEAD tuned up to EADG...
