Hipshots and E Strings

Sign in to disble this ad
Forgive me if this is the incorrect place to post this thread, but it seemed logical. I seem to be killing (going dead or dud) E strings faster than usual on my Sterling, and I am curious if my Hipshot has anything to do with it. I don't play exessively on the E string and I don't go between low D and E much with the tuner. Anyone else have this problem? Oh, yeah, I am using EB slinkys, but am getting my first TIs soon. HELP ME BASS GODS!

I've used Hipshots for two years and never noticed something with my E strings. Perhaps an inferior set of strings (I never liked Slinkies) is the culprit.
