i was going to get some rotosound swing 66 strings.. but then i heard that they eat away at your frets. Anyone know some long lasting, bright/clean tone, smooth to play, not too expensive strings?

I love my DR's... Marcus Miller claims that they "Don't eat my frets"

I've been using them for about three years and I have no problems with my frets. I use the high beams and they are, in my opinion, FAR superior to GHS, Ernie Ball, Dean Markley. I tried LaBella hard rockin' steels. The LaBella's are excellent, but I can kill those in less than four hours (I gig for three hours a night)

Bottom line... DR's are definitely badass... LaBellas are really cool, but they don't last as long

DR's last me up to two months if I keep them clean
