Hi there,
i've recently re-bought (sold it, then buying it back) by old Hofner Ignition bass guitar and i was looking to replace the strings with some new flatwounds, but i can't find anything about how the tone compares to roundwounds. So whats the tonal difference?

Mellower tone, not as bright as rounds. You don't hear the "scrape" when you slide up or down the fingerboard (for that matter, they don't tear your fingertips up either).

An Ignition screams for La Bella Beatle Bass flatwounds!
