how can this happen?

I buy a set of d'addario nickel, turns out to be 34" long (apparently for a steinberger) I said to the guy at the counter that I wanted to use them on my jazz, and he hands me this pack. I found out only when i had destrung my bass, and opened the sealed pack that it wouldnt work. £21.50 down the drain.

so then, I went and got a pack of Rotosound swing 66 nickels. the G broke while i was tuning it up, I hadn't even put the other new strings on yet. £18 down the ****ing drain.

I hate my passion sometimes. I down the best part of £40, for 8 long bits of metal which are now pretty much obsolete (Sp?)

best bit is, gig on saturday. so i need to buy ANOTHER G.
