how are d'addario strings so much cheaper?

Sign in to disble this ad
I've recently come across d'addario strings that are a two set pack for about AU$50 while thats normally the price for one set of strings or more.

I've always thought bass strings seem so expensive and its some scam, if d'addario can sell them for that price why can't the rest of the company's

Might have to give these strings a go, have been using ernie balls and they are a good strings string at a reasonable price, hopefully these d'addario's aren't crap, and thats why they are cheap.

I really need to get a string endorsement, i go through em fast

I don't know for a fact, but I suspect that the Planet Wave group that owns D'addario (or maybe it's the other way around) has the best engineers doing work for bass. They probably just are more clever at finding the materials and processes that cut cost while delivering quality.

D'addario is a fairly large company(as far as instrument string companies go I guess). They probably have access to more equipment and resources than most.

D'Addario is a very large company. But other than that, around here, I pay maybe $1 less per set.
