How has this summer been on your strings ? I have been playing alot of flats so it hasent been bad but when it gets really humid my rounds die at double time.

Yeah...I stopped caring for how my strings sound for the summer. While I love newer string sound, it was just another little thing not worth worrying about.

MIne seem to be breaking a lot recently, funny thing is, before a few months ago, I've never broke a string.

I just changed mine on my Valenti last week. They lasted from the beginning of June until last week, but they were dead as a door nail. I try to play my bass with clean hands and leave my bass in it's case when not being used, but that only goes so far.

Hmmmmm, I couldn't really tell you. I regularly change the strings on my basses. At any given time I have several sets of strings laying around. No reason to live with strings that are lousy.
