How long to break in la bella flats?

Anyone have a guesstimate on how many hours it takes to break in a set of la bella jamersons? Mine should be in tomorrow and my band is recording a live cd January 12, and I'd like to break them in ASAP.

I have them on two basses and the reason I love labella Strings is they sound great right out of the package and the sound is consistent from start to finish. I will add that the Jameson's take some getting used to if you are coming from a lighter gauge.

I have never had to break in LaBellas.
Fender and Chromes take a while.

Be sure to clean them off real good with some denatured alcohol on a rag before you install them.
If you don't they play real slow and your fingers will turn black.

I use mediums usually. Hopefully they won't take long to get used to.

I found my GHS Precision Flats to be exactly what I wanted out of the box. The Jamersons and every Labella flat I've had have taken a while to break in. Usually by the end of the week they've startled to settle down.

I have LaBellas on my Jazz, and would also have to say they sounded/felt great out of the package. Put them on and start playing! I don't know if you'll notice a difference by January, but that's not necessarily a bad thing since they will sound great immediately!

I've never played a flat I had to "break" in either but at any rate any normal amount of playing would take of that business by January if they need it at all.

I actually prefer their fresh out of the box tone than the broken in tone. too thumpy for me after about 2 months of light use.

Chromes, to me, take a while to reach the sweet spot.

That, I will agree with, but LaBella's are a different animal.

Which ones do you clean? I just slapped the Fenders on.
