How long a short-scale TI Jazz Flats?

I'd prefer a little more tension in the E string of my bass. I currently use TI Jazz Flats, and my E string technique is slightly different to other strings as I have no string to land on when I pluck.

The strings for a 32' scale length have a higher gauge E string. Do you reckon it'll be long enough for a 34' Rockbass? If it matters the bridge is a Badass.
