how long will DR coated strings "keep" without oxidation/degradation/whatever?

They do not have the d'add pouches, will the coating keep them neutral for a while? 6mo? year?

or any coated string, for that matter. Is this a basic "you dumbass, of course they will 'keep', its plastic coated metal" question? How long do boxes of strings sit around? (how far does a bird fly?)

DR claims that their strings will not oxidate because of some special paper it's stored in. I don't know if it's true or not, I only buy one set at a time.
