How much strings do you have? How long?

Looking around, I’ve found I have lots of new bass strings lying around. I wondered what the total length of my spare bass strings was (based on the bass scale).

34” x 4 strings x 6 sets = 816” RotoSound 88LD
34” x 4 strings x 2 sets = 272” Fender 8250M
34” x 5 strings x 1 set = 170” Ken Smith medium-t
34” x 5 strings x 3 sets = 510” Fender 8250/5M
34” x 6 strings x 2 sets = 408” Warwick Black
35” x 5 strings x 1 set = 175” Sadowsky SBS45B
35” x 5 strings x 2 sets = 350” MTD MC
41” x 5 strings x 2 sets = 410” NSD Helicore Med

Total 3111”

Couldn’t do this without a spreadsheet. Here’s a poll to show off your length…

I've got three new sets stashed away, a set I thought was too thick at the time (but saved anyway,) and four used sets I thought about boiling, but never got around to it...

What he said!

Actually, I found a NIB set of HiBeams in a case I don't normally use (gigbags forever) the other day. That way, I now have one brand new set.

Everything else is used, laying around waiting on my to buy some denatured alcohol and some 1" PVC and clean up a bunch.
