I dont know much about strings BUT

I know that the sound of Elixirs are pretty good. I, however, would like to find a more "acoustic" softer sounding string, and not so much of a bright sound.

Should I go for the roundwound strings? What would give me Aria Pro II Avante series a more acoustic, naturaly deep wood sound?

Thanks guys! I appreciate any input

Do you mean flat wound strings? Also, by acoustic deep wood tone do you mean more like an upright or acoustic bass guitar?

If you meant flats, they generally don't sound as bright as rounds, but you're going to have to try them and see if they give you the sound you're looking hoping for. Different brands of strings sound different and the actual bass used is going to have a big impact on the sound you'll be able to achieve.

I just dont want that bright sound with the bass right now that I get with Elixirs.

Id like to try something that makes my bass sound more earthy, and natural like an acoustic bass. Some drive is nice, but I dont like that bright sound. Something woody and warm.

know what I mean? I just dont know what strings I should get. The pickups are basslines on the bass, and they are actualyl pretty good pickups, get lots of tone out of them. Its rosewood fretboard too..

Yep, ground wounds are the best for you. As I always say, go for D'addario strings. They have a wonderful glass like tone!
