I don't wanna change my strings!
I know some folks will be coming to this thread just to say "ok, so don't change them then" but let me explain.
My little squier short scale jag has an absolutely perfect setup, and sounds great except for one thing - the E string is kinda dead. They're fender NPS rounds but this one string sounds almost like a flatwound.
I don't wanna change the strings because I'll lose this amazing set up and never be quite happy with it again, but I'm not sure I can deal with one dead string. I wish they all sounded like this.
Thoughts? What would you do?
