I installed my first set of flats

I put them on my Cabby bass, and I think I'm a convert. They just sound so much better fingerstyle. Not as good (to me) as rounds with a pick, but I can tweak my EQ and live with it.

Being an addict of zing and clarity while staying sounding full, I was sticking with roundwounds. This week I placed a set of Chromes Flat on my Dingwall Super PJ and it's the first time I am happy with the sound and clarity of the bass and strings. I am a convert, for this bass at least

The only thing I didn't like was that I had to remove almost all of the cloth wrap from the ball end of the E string. It wouldn't fit in the bridge. The round was the same gauge, and it fit fine. That was kind of weird.
