I love Naked Strings!

It's official. I have been playing on them for about six months now. I liked that I could order custom gauges, I ordered three sets of .125 .095 .065 .050 .030. (BEADG) My playing speed has improved as well as my right hand control over dynamics, and I don't think it's just because of the thinner gauge. Something about the windings; it suits my fingers well and I don't hang up on the strings after I sweat from being on stage after a while like I used to. Everyone that plays my bass is amazed by how good it sounds (only a schecter with emg-hzs). I recommend them to everyone. Just had to share. Thanks!

I feel that they get extremely stiff after a few months.

Once they are dead, they still have a remarkable sound! It's not the ugly dead rounds tone everyone knows.

Has anyone else had experience with Naked Strings? I am thinking about ordering a few custom sets from them since the price is so good. They would be worth it even if not the best string ever because the price is killer. Definitely worth a try at least.

I ordered a few sets a few months back but never put them on because I still had stock on hand of my last bulk order from another manufacturer. I tried my first set last night and loved them. Great tone, full wide body with a sharp leading edge and clear definition, very responsive with a quick return, even across strings and all the way up the neck, and an exceptional price. I match strings with instruments for feel and tone to suit specific gigs/styles but these may become the new standard on about 6 of my basses.
