I need a favor from somebody with some Ernie Balls and a tape measure.

I'm in need of some longer heavy gauge strings - the only people who seem to make what I need are D'addario and Ernie Ball. D'addario doesn't quite have the proper gauges in super long lengths, and EB doesn't state their winding lengths.

Could some body measure an Ernie Ball E string from the ball end to where the windings begin to taper? I need something in the range of 36" or more, but can't find this information on my internet machine.

I just pulled out an old used set of ernie ball power the e string gauge is 110. And it started tapering at 37 inches. Ernie ball powers are the ones with purple packaging.

Sweet! Thanks so much - I may have found some strings that fit my bass. Hooray!
