Hello everyone, my bass (a Carvin LB70) is strung with DAddario EXL Nickel Wounds. I like the sound for slap, but it sounds way to 'uptight' fingerstyle, when I'm trying to get a mellower sound. So I would like strings that have a great slap sound and a mellow, laid back kind of fingerstyle sound. I'm sure this has been asked before, but I don't want to sort through pages of search results (I have looked at a few.) Also, while I'm at it, does a higher guage of strings raise the action?
