I never bought strings..

Well as the title say, i have never needed to buy strings but i do need to do that now so first of all i want to know the meaning of thees expresions:
-Roundwounds?
-Flatwounds?

Second.
What material is good for what? Like nickle or what ever.

There are some links there that will answer the round vs flat and nickle vs steel questions. If you still have questions, feel free to ask.
String choice is kind of a personal thing, and we can mostly just offer opinions. I like Ernie Ball standard Slinkies myself (custom gauge / heavy gauge inexpensive nickle round wounds)
