Well, I did it. I've always been a creature of habit when it comes to my strings, and I believe that no one set will work for all basses. With that in mind, instead of going back to my Hi Beams (45-100) I ordered some Blue Labels (45-105). I know that the construction of the strings differ, as do the gauges. But, as many here have raved, I'm sure I'll be impressed.

I have two big gigs in the next two weeks (1500 and over 10k) so I think I should get a quick feel for them. Until then = Stu!

Good choice Stu. I did the same thing a couple years ago. I went from DR High Beams to Sadowsky SS, but black is all they had back then. I then switched to the blues as soon as they came out. I've been impressed so far. I haven't got a dead string yet and the B string is awesome. They're a little slinkier than the DR's and the blacks but they're also a little easier on the fingers. Hope you like them.

Cap'n, that is exactly what I wanted to hear! I read that the blacks had more tension, and that is not what I wanted. After about 7 or 8 pages in the Black vs. Blue thread, I was set. And they're priced very well!

I'm so excited, that I'm playing my Sadowsky SA410 and looking to borrow a Sad outboard pre/DI for my next two gigs
