I am looking to do some recording soon. I want the growliest bass tone possible without using distortion. Much like on old Rush or Queensryches "Empire" record. Since I can't afford to buy 100 different kinds of strings, I was hoping for some input. So far I favor Rotosound Swing. Any suggestions?
