I will take your dead nickel rounds!

I'm looking for some old, dead Nickel round wounds. I'm after that sound, but don't want to have new strings on my bass for any period of time.

If you have a set you're going to through away, I'll take them off your hands. I'll pay for shipping and throw $5 your way to make it worth your while. And don't forget the satisfaction of helping out another TB'r!

I'm looking for only nickel strings as follows.

-Fender (old or new formula)
-DR (nickel or sunbeams)
-D'addario
-Any other you can think of, must be nickel.

Thanks guys!

It might help to mention what sort of bass you're putting them on.

This is true. They'd be going on a Jazz. Strung through the bridge or body, doesn't matter to me.

I just threw a bunch out :-<

You could go with GHS Boomers or Ernie Ball Slinkies, they go thud really fast after coming out of their packaging.

I'll see what I have. Most of my old strings will probably be stainless steel though.

Next time I string up one of my basses, I'll be sure to get a set of sunbeams (i haven't tried them out yet), then I'll send them your way after a few weeks.
