Ibanez Factory Strings Question

I bought a GSR200 about 6 months ago. What strings was
Ibanez using last year? These have red covered ends.....

I posed the same question to the sales clerk when i bought my GSR200. She said as far as she knows the models shipped from China had D'addario strings.

Don't know how much truth this holds to be quite honest.

I believe they are D'Addario also. Anyhow, they aren't very good sounding strings in my opinion so I always advise anyone buying one of the low end Ibanez basses to change them for something better.

But you may like them, in which case take the bass to the music store and look at the cheapest D'Addarios there and see if you can find a match.

D'Addario rounds do not have red silk... they come with colored balls and no silk. Rotosounds have the red silks. But then again my friend's Squier VM came with strings with red silks and I'm fairly certain they're not Rotos. hmm.
